If you’re exploring Boston’s Back Bay—maybe wandering over to admire Trinity Church or spending a slow morning in the Boston Public Library—you might just stumble into one of the city’s most vibrant local experiences: the Copley Square Farmers Market.

The Copley Square Farmers Market isn’t just any market—it’s Boston’s biggest and busiest, featuring over three dozen Massachusetts farmers and food producers. It’s the perfect place to pick up fresh local produce, artisan foods, handmade gifts, and snacks your whole family will love while visiting nearby tourist destinations.
On my last visit, I grabbed a container of fresh berries and the most delicious chocolate chip cookies— perfect size for walking around Back Bay. I wish I could have purchased the beautiful bouquet of sunflowers! I nibbled on my cookies on my way down Commonwealth Avenue, admiring the brownstones and tree-lined sidewalks. It was such an easy, relaxing Boston moment! The Copley Square Farmers Market takes place right on the square in front of Trinity Church, surrounded by the Boston Public Library and the Hancock Tower. The market runs May through November, every Tuesday and Friday from 11am to 6pm, making it incredibly convenient to squeeze into any Back Bay itinerary.

Once you’ve stocked up, take a short walk—just a couple of blocks—to the Boston Common. Find a bench, relax, and enjoy your snack while you watch the Duck Boats roll by. It’s one of the most classic, charming people-watching spots in the city. Perfect for families looking to grab a small snack for their hungry kids while walking through the city.
How to Get There (Public Transportation)
Getting to the Copley Square Farmers Market is incredibly easy by T: Take any Green Line train (B, C, D, or E) and get off at Copley Station.→ The market is less than a 1-minute walk—right outside the station exit. You can't miss it!
